Impromptu weekend: Sums

I paid 3€ for my tickets, which is a good centime-to-nipple ratio for all the art.

I came back on the mid-morning train to Thiviers today on one of the shiny new TERs with interative displays and seats that don’t squeak. This was the highlight of my day.

The TER site won’t sell a through ticket to Mont-de-Marsan for some reason, but assuming a last-minute booking i.e. booking for tomorrow and coming back on Wednesday with a break in the journey, I’d end up paying:

Thiviers – Bordeaux29,10€
Bordeaux – Mont-de-Marsan26,10€
Mont-de-Marsan – Bordeaux26,10€
Bordeaux – Libourne8,30€
Libourne – Thiviers23,40€

I think that TER tickets are generally valid for the whole day of travel and breaks in the journey are permitted, so it could be possible to hop on and off a couple of times in one direction.

The 1€ ticket runs until Thursday. I’m not entirely sure I can squeeze in another impromptu adventure before then.

Choo-choo!
