There was no tourism today as I was alternating between work and controlled panic.
I felt very pleased with myself yesterday for having found a way round the Easter maintenance problem: a boat. I had it all worked out and booked the hotel and everything, but stupidly failed to book onwards trains as soon as I’d decided on my route.
This was my task for today.
Between yesterday and today all the tilty trains on the Oslo-Stockholm line sold out, so tomorrow I’m going to have to travel in second (oh, the humanity) between Olso and Katrineholm on a non-tilty train before getting a connecting train to Norrköpping, where I have already booked a hotel.
The plan then was to arrive in the evening and perhaps do something, sleep, then have a leisurely mosey around Norrköping after breakfast before getting on a tilty train to Malmö and a connecting service to Trelleborg. There, whatever happens, I’ll get an overnight ferry to Rostock, before an ICE whisks me on Lauffen-wards to see friends.
But then things all changed and all the titly trains between Norrköping and Malmö sold out. This is a shame, because the titly train only takes about three hours and I could’ve stocked up on snacks to make up for the fact that the SJ Lounges are shut until Tuesday.
Anyway. I at least have a reservation on the train for tomorrow to Norrköping and there I’ll make some kind of plan.
Hopefully.
